Quick Specs & Blueprint Dimensions

Before ordering any multi-functional rack, you need to know if it will actually fit your space. RitFit designed the M3 Pro specifically with low ceilings and compact spaces in mind.

  • Height: 84.5 inches (Perfect for standard 7-foot basement ceilings)

  • Width (Rack Uprights): 47 inches

  • Width (Smith Barbell): 86.8 inches

  • Depth: 60.25 inches

  • Upright Size: Metric 3" x 3" (75mm x 75mm) with 1-inch holes (2-inch hole spacing)

  • Weight Stacks: Dual 180 lb selectorized stacks (2:1 ratio)

The Big Deal: Why a 3x3 Metric Rack Matters

In the past, RitFit has been famous for its entry-level budget racks like the M1 (2” x 2”) and the M2 (2.36” x 2.36”). While those racks are perfectly safe and sturdy enough for 99% of lifters, they severely limit your attachment options.

The M3 Pro utilizes a true metric 3” x 3” (75mm x 75mm) upright footprint. This means you can break out of the RitFit ecosystem whenever you want. During our testing, we attached a Rogue dip attachment and REP Fitness spotter arms and J-Hooks right onto the M3 Pro, and they fit flawlessly.

The Verdict on Versatility: This compatibility entirely eliminates "racksizing FOMO." The M3 Pro acts as a modular foundation that can grow with you for decades, making it a true "forever rack".

The Pros: What We Love

1. Zero Cable Interference on Free Weight Movements

If you’ve ever used a REP Fitness PR5000 with an Ares attachment, you know how annoying it is when the functional trainer cables block your J-cups. RitFit ingeniously tucked the dual cables incredibly close to the uprights. This allows you to position your J-cups above or below the functional trainer trolley without the cable interfering with your barbell's path. Taller lifters can easily set J-cups up to 64.75 inches high for comfortable squat walkouts.

2. High-End Premium Trolleys & Pulley System

RitFit didn't skimp on the dual selectorized functional trainers. The trolleys feature 29 micro-adjustment settings and use ultra-smooth 3D-printed rollers. Combined with aluminum pulleys, high-quality bearings, and knurled metal handles, the cable travel is exceptionally fluid. The 2:1 cable ratio gives you 81 inches of travel length, making it ideal for explosive functional movements and cable crossovers.

3. An Extremely Smooth, Heavy Duty Smith Machine

The integrated Smith machine is easily the best RitFit has ever engineered. It features a solid 20 kg barbell with a 30mm shaft and nice, passive knurling. Crucially, RitFit left out the center knurling—which is exactly what you want on a Smith machine to avoid scraping your nose or face during Smith Machine overhead presses.

4. Smart Integrated Storage

The built-in square pegboard on the back is brilliant. It comes with 10 heavy-duty attachment hooks. Because the holes are square rather than round, the hooks seat tightly and won't accidentally pull out when you grab a band or a cable handle.

The Cons: What Could Be Better

No piece of gym equipment is entirely perfect, and the M3 Pro has a few quirks you should know before buying.

  • The Assembly Instructions are Lacking: The instruction manual images lack detail. For instance, a few non-centered holes on the frame can easily be installed backward if you aren't paying hyper-close attention. Pro tip: Grab a 32mm socket wrench before starting; it will shave hours off the build time. Expect a roughly 7-hour assembly process.

  • Bolt Orientation Oversight: The manual instructs you to run certain frame bolts from the inside out. However, in this direction, the bolt ends slightly interfere with the smooth travel of the functional trainer trolley. We highly recommend flipping these bolts around during assembly to avoid metal-on-metal friction.

  • Low Pulley System for Lat Pulldowns: Because the rack is a compact 84.5 inches tall to accommodate low basements, tall lifters will find the lat pulldown range of motion a bit short. Note: RitFit is actively launching a Lat Pulldown Extender and Articulating Arms to natively fix this exact issue.

  • Limited Plate Storage Horns: The system comes with 4 weight horns. We would prefer a 3rd or 4th tier of storage horns to cleanly organize MORE plates (like 2.5s and 5s).

  • Extra Plastic/Rubber Thickness Needed on Some Components: The Smith Machine barbell’s sleeves could use a plastic/rubber cover on the collar to ensure that 450mm-wide plates never come into contact with the handle of the functional trainer. Additionally, covering other components to prevent some metal-to-metal contact, while ensuring the that rotating “Arm Catch” cannot fall too far forward where it could come into contact with the Functional trainer’s trolley.

The Final Verdict: Is the RitFit M3 Pro Worth It?

If you are working with limited floor space in a garage or basement but refuse to compromise on the heavy-duty utility of a 3x3 commercial rack, the RitFit M3 Pro is an exceptional buy.

For around $3,000, you are getting an unyielding power rack, a velvety-smooth functional trainer with 360 lbs of total weight stack, a buttery-smooth Smith machine, a multi-grip pull-up bar, and a landmine attachment. When compared to buying those pieces individually from other premium brands, the M3 Pro offers great value for a compact footprint.

It is incredibly heavy-duty, highly customizable with third-party attachments, and stable enough to handle your heaviest PRs. This isn't a starter rack you'll want to replace in two years—it's a foundation built for a lifetime of lifting.
